New Parents As you hold your newborn infant in your arms you have probably experienced the desire to give him or her the best of everything. The most beneficial gift you can give your child is a happy and healthy marriage. Researchers have found that, on average, children whose parents have a healthy marriage do better on every single positive social outcome from emotional health to higher academic achievement. However researchers have also found that marital satisfaction can drop somewhat when a couple adds a newborn to their relationship. The good news is that researchers have also found that this drop is not inevitable.
